State Internet Usage: NH Plugged-in, Mississippi Not so Much

Mississippi — always Mississippi — trails every other state in the nation in Internet usage, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Only 56.6 percent of Mississippians live in households with Internet access.

In contrast, 84.7 percent of new Hampshire residents live in Internet-connected households.

On average, 73.5% of all Americans (3 years and older) reside in plugged-in abodes.

Having access does not translate into use, however. Nationally, only 68.4 of Americans access the Net from “some location”.

All the data can be found on the U.S. Census Bureau Web site.
